Tthe thing you are trying to do is get the enemy to bring that battle to you, Once they are in range move your rogues forward. Depending on what they are and how far forward they move I might even not move any of your troops on your next move. Then let the enemy move all their troops. but keep your rogues on their starting points.
(as you want to make sure you have at least one unit to go into the 2nd wave so the rogues have something to morph into. It is a 2 wave battle so I would use 6 rogues and 1 heavy knight and one sword warrior. In the case of the battle you are trying to win.
GE is also good for practicing manual battles as you can see what you will be facing.
